CHAPTER_14_SLOKA_17

सत्त्वात्सञ्जायते ज्ञानं रजसो लोभ एव च |
प्रमादमोहौ तमसो भवतोऽज्ञानमेव च || 17||

sattvāt sañjāyate jñānaṁ rajaso lobha eva cha
pramāda-mohau tamaso bhavato ’jñānam eva cha

TRANSLATION

Knowledge is comes by the virtue of righteousness and morality, greedy nature rises with the egoistic passion, ignorance creates negligence and misunderstanding.

EXPLANATION

Here the lord Shree Krishna mentioned about three types of Gunas(Characteristics) 

Sattva Guna:(goodness)

It makes intelligence and by the intelligence you can distinguish what is fair and what is unfair. And also mollifies the aspiration of living senses for the fulfilment that which makes satisfaction with true happiness. People who are sway to intellectual achievements with goodness man wiser.

Rajo Guna (Egoistic Passion)

It will keep you in zealous and enthusiastic place with unbounded desires, it provoke the senses and makes your mind uncontrol. People with this type of characteristics get struck with over anticipation for wealth and delighted which is attached with the material world.

Tamo Guna: (ignorance)

This makes a human being inactive and primitive. which will turn to immoral and faithless as per these characteristics they will get appropriate results at the end.

CHAPTER_17_SLOKA_25

तदित्यनभिसन्धाय फलं यज्ञतप:क्रिया: |
दानक्रियाश्च विविधा: क्रियन्ते मोक्षकाङ्क्षिभि: || 25||

tad ity anabhisandhāya phalaṁ yajña-tapaḥ-kriyāḥ
dāna-kriyāśh cha vividhāḥ kriyante mokṣha-kāṅkṣhibhiḥ

TRANSLATION

The people who doesn't wish for worthwhile honour, who tries to be detached from the material participation, The word "Tat" which is called for severity, sacrifice, and charity.

EXPLANATION

Here the Lord Shree Krishna describing that The worthwhile honours are integrated for the supreme lord. people who hallow severity, sacrifice, and charity for the god sake, those are called with a word "Tat" the Brahman. These kind of people are imprint for the eternal welfare of the soul and they are not concerned to execute their actions for material honour. to become these kind of character by virtue of true knowledge you have to sacrifice your greedy nature and then only you can mingle with the supreme lord.
