LAZINESS

CHAPTER_03_SLOKA_08

नियतं कुरु कर्म त्वं कर्म ज्यायो ह्यकर्मण: |
शरीरयात्रापि च ते न प्रसिद्ध्येदकर्मण: || 8||

niyataṁ kuru karma tvaṁ karma jyāyo hyakarmaṇaḥ
śharīra-yātrāpi cha te na prasiddhyed akarmaṇaḥ

TRANSLATION

You have to do your prescribed Vedic duties, The actions are predominant to inaction. By stopping your activity you cannot make your bodily maintenance.

EXPLANATION

Laziness is the biggest enemy of humans and fall off for the spiritual life, if you want to get integrated with in the god physical work is most important that makes our senses and soul stable and rejuvenated. The one and only thing that trustable is our work. laziness makes your body and mind weak, you cannot be able to achieve something great or you will be stucked even in the little things which you can perform but the laziness never let you go. especially for the spiritual life laziness is the main obstacle to integrate your soul with the supreme lord. You will not be combined with the god until you faint your laziness.

CHAPTER_03_SLOKA_20,21

कर्मणैव हि संसिद्धिमास्थिता जनकादय: |
लोकसंग्रहमेवापि सम्पश्यन्कर्तुमर्हसि || 20||
यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठस्तत्तदेवेतरो जन: |
स यत्प्रमाणं कुरुते लोकस्तदनुवर्तते || 21||

karmaṇaiva hi sansiddhim āsthitā janakādayaḥ
loka-saṅgraham evāpi sampaśhyan kartum arhasi
yad yad ācharati śhreṣhṭhas tat tad evetaro janaḥ
sa yat pramāṇaṁ kurute lokas tad anuvartate

TRANSLATION

By executing exactly assigned responsibilities, The king Janak and others achieved excellence. Similarly you should be attentive towards your work for the good of the world. because people only follow to great people actions what they execute. The quality what they set the entire world will go through it.

EXPLANATION

Here the lord Shree Krishna wants to describe the importance of karma (our duty). The king Janaka done his prescribed Vedic actions and made his mind and soul and achieved excellence, after the realization of soul still he tend to performed his prescribed duties to give an example to the world for welfare. 

We get inspired by the great people by their actions and achievements, because they are stable with their mind and they only perform moral responsibilities that which rises humanity and faith in the society, and all of the people will follow them to achieve something in their life, yes everybody wants to be something and they will become one day until and unless they give up on their prescribed duties. People with uncontrolled mind will not reach higher peaks and the uncontrolled mind is a sign of lazy people. It's a big enemy for us, we must have to do our assigned work with goodness to make our self purified mind and soul because then only you are able to do anything. and after that also we need to go with that flow if you achieved something doesn't mean that you're all done but you've to maintain that state of being excellence for that we must perform our duties by ignoring the laziness.

CHAPTER_06_SLOKA_16

नात्यश्नतस्तु योगोऽस्ति न चैकान्तमनश्नत: |
न चाति स्वप्नशीलस्य जाग्रतो नैव चार्जुन || 16||

nātyaśhnatastu yogo ’sti na chaikāntam anaśhnataḥ
na chāti-svapna-śhīlasya jāgrato naiva chārjuna

TRANSLATION

O Arjun People who eat too much or one who eats too little, nor also for one who sleeps too much or sleeps too little, will never gain eternal happiness or success in Yog.

EXPLANATION

Here the Lord Shree Krishna saying some of the regulations that the people who ignores their bodily maintenance those people are probably won't get succeed in the yog.

Some people says that your soul not the body, just focus on your spiritual activities but not on your physical look is it a right statement? No never, However the truth is we're not the body but the soul. And this body is the carrier as long as we live, it's like an elevator for your spiritual enhancement. All the Vedas dictate us for good care of the body. Physical health is necessary to gain the spiritual knowledge. So when we overcome the laziness then we get into the super blissful spiritual life.

CHAPTER_18_SLOKA_39

यदग्रे चानुबन्धे च सुखं मोहनमात्मन: |
निद्रालस्यप्रमादोत्थं तत्तामसमुदाहृतम् || 39||

yad agre chānubandhe cha sukhaṁ mohanam ātmanaḥ
nidrālasya-pramādotthaṁ tat tāmasam udāhṛitam

TRANSLATION

The people who feels happy with sleep, carelessness, that which misleads the incorporate self from the beginning to the end is called as the mode of ignorance.

EXPLANATION

When someone feel happy with their negligence from the beginning to end. that means the person making himself an imprint of the darkness of ignorance. There will be a small and temporary pleasure in the experience of laziness but that leads you to do nothing but you still can't stop imagining about it. You know that what's best for you to do so, but just because of your sleepy nature and laziness makes you to ignore everything then you remain unconditional. To make something great and notable you have to leave the mode of ignorance.
