CHAPTER_16_SLOKA_13,14,15
इदमद्य मया लब्धमिमं प्राप्स्ये मनोरथम् |
इदमस्तीदमपि मे भविष्यति पुनर्धनम् || 13||
असौ मया हत: शत्रुर्हनिष्ये चापरानपि |
ईश्वरोऽहमहं भोगी सिद्धोऽहं बलवान्सुखी || 14||
आढ्योऽभिजनवानस्मि कोऽन्योऽस्ति सदृशो मया |
यक्ष्ये दास्यामि मोदिष्य इत्यज्ञानविमोहिता: || 15||
idam adya mayā labdham imaṁ prāpsye manoratham
idam astīdam api me bhaviṣhyati punar dhanam
asau mayā hataḥ śhatrur haniṣhye chāparān api
īśhvaro ’ham ahaṁ bhogī siddho ’haṁ balavān sukhī
āḍhyo ’bhijanavān asmi ko ’nyo ’sti sadṛiśho mayā
yakṣhye dāsyāmi modiṣhya ity ajñāna-vimohitāḥ
TRANSLATION
The devilish nature people think, I have everything today, I can fulfil all of my desires, I got it now and I'll gain even more tomorrow. I can defeat my enemies I can faint anyone with my power, I am like god himself, I can enjoy everything, I have high placed relatives. No one is equal to me, I can donate anything to celestial gods I shall give alms I shall rejoice. In this way they are deluded by ignorance.
EXPLANATION
The people with demoniac nature feels like i can enjoy whatever makes be happy by ignoring the righteousness and morality, they perform concerted efforts to adapt their ambitions. That kind of people are rude with others and they thought themselves as god that he can do anything with his wealth. They do not hesitate to harm anyone for their welfare. Such kind of demoniac people sometimes rise higher in the social status but their actions are unworthy and cheap in quality. The persons with these kind of nature are said to be a asura(demons).
To be a good devotee or a good human being you have to tolerate with these characteristics, pride is the main obstacle for some ones spiritual life but the true people with humanity they sacrifice their self interest for the welfare of others these people can enjoy the real happiness by combining with the god.
The ego creates the biggest untruth in our lives, and makes us believe what we are not. Thus, for progress along the saintly path, all the religious traditions and saints urge us to dismantle our egotistic thought patterns.
